Folks, I understand a practise was arranged last year in March at Boyndie.

Is it likely to be any similar sessions arranged for this coming year in 2018?

Also is Alford track still an option for casual use (eg the 1 hour seesion) or for group hire, say through the club(s)?

Hi

If you are a member of East Ayrshire Car Club there is the potential to take part in un-timed test sessions at Kames sprint track on a limited number of dates, similarly there are also such sessions for Monklands Sporting Car Club members at Forrestburn. See both clubs websites for info (next Kames one on 30 Dec 2017: http://www.eastayrshirecc.co.uk/test_days; Forreestburn tba - if like 2017 could be a Sun in April for pre-season, then a few mid-week track nights during the season)

Thanks
Mike

PS I know this is not quite the question you are asking, nor the part of the country you are asking about!

If you are a member of the EACC you can hire Kames privately too.
I did this at the start of this year.

Thanks guys, I forgot I posted this.
Just appended same question in another thread!

I'm ADMC, so looking NE but don't mind travelling to get some track time.
I was considering knockhill practrise sessions but understand it can be quite hairy!
Not ideal for first time out in a 20 year old single seater.

I'll see what folk come back with for this region and then look at farther afield options.

However the Boyndie test day was organized by Mike Jolly.......... if I remember correctly.
Was a fine day out with plenty track time.

There are usually test days at Golspie too. Keep an eye on Caithness Car Club or NSKC facebook pages or on here.
